Wednesday, September 30 will be our first learning from home day. Tuesday I will be sending home work for your child to do on that day. The work must be returned on Thursday, October 1st to count for their attendance on the 30th. I have included a cover letter explaining what needs to be done and what needs to return. I appreciate your attention to this. I will be in meetings most of the day, but you can email me with any questions and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Please go to the school website to order a yearbook for your child if you choose. Look for the Josten’s order form under the Albany Elementary tab. Just a reminder to send back your Star of the Week poster when it is completed. I have seen quite an improvement in the students that have been practicing their counting with their hundreds chart! We are almost done with our alphabet review with letter recognition and sound. Please help your child continue to practice these good foundational skills as well. I appreciate all you do!!

The first day of school was so much fun! I bet everyone will be tired tonight. The kids were troopers.
*Please check your child's purple Huskie take home folder daily for important information. If you need to send a note to school, please put it in this folder as I check them each morning. Please remind your child to bring this folder back and forth daily. *If your child has a change in his/her regular afternoon routine, please send a note or call the office. If you email, please email a couple of days in advance because I often don’t get to my email until after the school day is over. *Please note that we will not have snack time this year due to our lunch time. Free breakfast is available everyday starting at 7:45AM. *Every Friday is school spirit day! Dress in ‘Albany Huskies' clothes or purple & white. *The dairy allergy in our classroom is just for ingested dairy, so others in the class can have dairy products around this student. There is no longer an allergy to shellfish in our classroom. Have a wonderful night! I enjoyed my time back at school with your children! |
